Retrieve Metadata/Data from Salesforce in one click – a google chrome extension (Part 2)

Well this is an upgrade to my google chrome extension – details posted in my lastย post.

Now enjoy lesser clicks and better user interaction in retrieving most commonly used metadata types from Salesforce org and utilize your saved time in more productive works. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now with the latest version 2.0, it supports following 9 metadata types which can be retrieved in just one click using this extension:

With this updated version of this chrome extension, user get the following 3 new features:

  3. A very interesting “Bonus” feature. Cool new virtual dance to engage users while extension works on retrieving large data from org.

Version 2.2.4 updates:

With this update, user will get the following:

  1. UI updates and issue fix.
  2. Retrieve Apex Class, Apex trigger & custom object also from Salesforce org in a single click. “Custom Settings” & “Custom Metadata types” can also be retrieved from the “Custom Object” option.
  3. Display of the sidebar button only when the user is logged in to any Salesforce org.

Version 2.2.3 updates:

With this update, user will get the following new features:

  1. A better and persistent UI. Extension box & retrieve results (both metadata & data) persist until user refresh the page from browser or try to retrieve another set of rows. This leads to a better user experience using this chrome extension.
  2. User can retrieve custom labels not only with name but now also with the value.
  3. User can retrieve validation rules not only with name but now also with the error message.
  4. User can also do aggregate queries along with plain SOQL.
  5. SOQL results can be retrieved both from parent or child related objects. Not only that results can also be exported, BINGO . ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
  6. User can now also see the total number of rows retrieved in the UI. Cool isn’t it? ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

With this updated version of this chrome extension, user can :

With the latest updates of this extension, user can also execute SOQL queries and can retrieve bulk records more than 2000 in batches with separate queryMore calls in just a click of a button, “More..”. Additionally user can also export/download the queried data using a button “Export”. To adย  a cherry on the top, this extension is now lightning compatible also. Check out the below demo:
